Encoding
To be completely upfront, my radio show has not yet begun. When it does launch, however, it will most likely be a pushed broadcast to a Windows™ Media Server™ or a ShoutCast™ or IceCast™ server. That means that an encoder of some sort is in order.
There are two options:
- Encode the Computer 1 output on Computer 1 and push it to the broadcast server for distribution.
- Split the audio output of Computer 1 (connected to monitor speakers/headphones) and run one portion of the split to a dedicated encoding workstation for encoding and pushing to the broadcast server for distribution.
